SPECIALTIES:

Whether you're feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed, there are effective tools to learn and steps to take that can move you forward. I am passionate about helping people overcome anxiety because I know first hand how challenging it can be to contend with on a daily basis. Your mental health doesn't have to control your life if you’re ready to put in some work.

Together, we will identify and practice meaningful strategies that will help you feel more like yourself. I know that coming to therapy and facing your fears is stressful, but you're not alone. I'll be here to support you every step of the way.

Montana's Approach

In therapy, we may focus on decreasing symptoms of OCD, skin picking or hair pulling. We could spend time building your tolerance to uncertainty or doubt. Perhaps our focus will be coping with the loss of a loved one. Maybe you're struggling with your sexuality or gender identity. Whatever it is, I'm here to help you accomplish your goals.

I believe therapy works best when the client and therapist collaborate to find a unique treatment plan that is tailored just for you. I work from a trauma-informed and culturally aware perspective and know my strengths are in helping you feel seen and supported while doing this incredible work.

I incorporate elements of the following evidence-based therapies in my practice: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Psychodynamic Therapy.

Education

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University of Social Services and a Bachelor in Psychology and Music from Sarah Lawrence College.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
